A quiet weekend of… madness! Strong emotions in the UK

A real “rollercoaster” of emotions at Brands Hatch, in the second round of the Nascar Whelen Euro Series season.

A weekend of crackling races, definitely not suitable to the faint of heart, where EuroNASCAR is confirmed

absolute protagonist, in the fantastic and evocative setting of the American Speedfest, which counts this year well 50,000 spectators cheering in the stands for the racing cars on the track.

The Ford Mustang #27 enjoys a great success among English fans, confirming himself as one of the most popular cars appreciated, as well as the very active driver Patrick Schober between autographs and photos.

Double V Racing comes with good intentions and sure of being able to improve the results obtained in Spain, despite the Indy track of Brands Hatch is probably the most insidious and difficult of the whole championship.

Round 3

Schober starts from P15, a risky position in the middle of the group, but fortunately the first laps pass

without contacts and he gains 2 positions, it’s P13. Then the race gets hot, several accidents, 2 safety carsin 10 laps, and in the second restart Patrick to avoid a crash comes out in gravel, slipping into P21. Again safety car, the race seems over but on lap 30 they come granted 2 extra laps.
The safety car returns and Schober goes wild: overtakes 8 cars and closes in P14. At the end of the race, however, thanks to the penalties given to some pilots, Patrick officially climbs in P12.

Round 4

Good time in race 3 and Patrick can start from P12, immediately a great pace and after 2 laps he is already in P9. Then safety car, and on the restart Schober proves to be lethal by putting De Groot and hunting for Cappelli. A tough duel begins for the P6 and the rookie podium! But yet another safety car calms the spirits and you go back to spinning at a slow pace. In the 2 extra laps to decide the fate, Schober and Cappelli engage in a tough fight and while the Mustang #27 is overtaking Toyota #18, Cappelli sends him to the grass (with a clearly incorrect maneuver) and forces Patrick to close the race in P8 and 4th among the rookies. In the post-match, a slight penalty for Cappelli, which he maintains, however the position. Schober at the end of the 2 races climbs to 10th place in the overall standings.

Go on like this Patrick!
