The Modenese team prepares the debut of the young Austrian talent driving the #27 Ford Mustang. Schober, reigning champion in Austrian Formula 4, will fight for the rookie title in EuroNASCAR 2.
After a positive 2021 season, where the results were certainly above prospects for a debut team, Double V Racing will return to EuroNASCAR in 2022 with great ambitions and many interesting news.
The first to be unveiled is the entry into the team of the youngster Patrick Schober, nicknamed “Young Gun”, who will race in the black-yellow #27 Ford Mustang, aiming for the rookie title in the EuroNASCAR 2 Championship. A young driver (2004) with a lot of ambition, dedication and desire to improve, Austrian Formula 4 champion in 2021.
Patrick is looking forward to start the season in EuroNASCAR: “I’m looking forward to race with Double V Racing. I race to win, I’m aware that there will be many good and experienced drivers in this class. My focus will be also the rookie title and I will do my best”.
Francesco Vignali, Double V Racing team manager, adds: “Patrick’s ambition is the same as ours, we can’t wait to start the new season together. We are a totally independent team now, with a unique approach to the championship and a great desire to improve. We will give Patrick all our support to always put him in a position to get the best out of himself and our #27 Mustang”.
The first Double V Racing round on 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season will be May 14-15 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, with two exciting sprint races.
